Personal Infrared Sauna

What is a personal infrared sauna?

Unlike traditional saunas, infrared saunas don’t heat the air around you. Instead, infrared lamps, which use electromagnetic radiation, heat your body directly. An infrared sauna can operate at a lower temperature - usually between 120˚F and 140˚F (49°C and 60°C) — than a traditional sauna, which is typically between 150˚F and 180˚F (66°C and 82°C).

And personal? You get the sauna to yourself - no sharing the space for your reserved time required!

Benefits of Infrared Sauna:

  1. better sleep

  2. relaxation

  3. detoxification

  4. weight loss

  5. relief from sore muscles

  6. relief from joint pain such as arthritis

  7. clear and tighter skin

  8. relief from chronic fatigue syndrome symptoms

  9. improved circulation

Holistic Wellness for Everyone: People have used saunas for centuries for all sorts of conditions and healing. In addition to the benefits listed above, using the infrared sauna can contribute to your overall health and wellbeing by helping you relax, loosen up sore and stiff muscles, and giving you much needed time to yourself.

While the risks are minimal, you can experience overheating or dehydration, so exercise caution and follow these steps before and after your session to optimize your experience.

  1. stay hydrated - drink a glass of water before going into the sauna, and you can even take a bottle of water in with you if you are sensitive to higher temperatures.

  2. begin with a lower temperature - most infrared saunas operate from 100˚F to 150˚F (38°C to 66°C). If this is your first time, start with 100˚F (38°C) and gradually work up to a higher temperature.

  3. start small: for first-time users, it’s best to start small, like 15 minutes at a time, and gradually add time to each session. Just don’t stay in longer than 30 minutes at a time. Saunas come with a timer, so make sure to set it. You don’t want to stay in there too long and risk becoming dehydrated.

  4. take time to cool down: when your session is done, be sure to let your body cool down. Once you’ve cooled down, you can take a shower (available at The Healing Ranch as part of your sauna appointment) and make sure to hydrate afterward.

  5. wear what you want: how you dress is your choice; some people wear bathing suits, while others prefer going in naked.

  6. relax: read, meditate, or listen to music; just don’t go to sleep.

Our Approach: At The Healing Ranch, we are dedicated to providing personalized and professional experiences. Book the personal infrared sauna on its own or tack it on to an appointment with one of our experienced practitioners for additional healing and relaxation.
